Hebrew School

Are you looking for a child centered and nurturing environment for your child to experience being Jewish? An egalitarian approach to Jewish practice where a sense of values and ethics based on Jewish sources is encouraged? Do you wish to join a community of families to celebrate holidays and your child's Bar/Bat Mitzva with?

Please consider the following when thinking about your child Jewish Education:

• Students in our Hebrew School are kindergarten aged (5 years old) to B'nei Mitzvah (13 years-old).
• As part of the Conservative Movement, we promote an egalitarian approach to Judaism; strong ties to Israel; and a sense of community.
• We encourage family participation in workshops, Shabbat dinners, and Shabbat services.
• Congregation Emanu-El's Hebrew School is blessed to have an excellent staff of committed and inspiring teachers and assistants.
• Parent Committee sets school policies and oversees the smooth running of school.
• Children with special learning needs are supported by assistants in the classroom.

• giving the students opportunities to interact with other Jewish children of all ages, thus helping them to create their own community within the larger Jewish community;
• exposing the students to the basics of being Jewish by studying Torah, biblical and modern Hebrew, the holidays, and modern Jewish history;
• developing a strong sense of values and ethics based on Jewish sources;

All Hebrew School families are members of Congregation Emanu-El. There is a fee reduction for more than one child attending the Hebrew School.
