Education

Temple Emanu-El has a strong commitment to provide Jewish education to our members. From the Shalom Pre-school with a specific program for toddlers, continuing with the Hebrew School with an ongoing program for children, to Bar and Bat Mitzvah preparation for young adults.

Adult Education has strengthened its ongoing programs and has offered a number of new events. The new building has hosted Moroccan cooking, lively discussions on sexuality and healing, poems and songs, art, and Hanukah crafts.

Rabbi's classes have explored the nature of God and the traditions of Judaism; Hebrew songs and grammar drills wash through Gidi's Hebrew Literacy classes; and Lynn's Torah leyning class counterpoints with chanting. These activities have become so widespread that even the Moka Café in Cook Street Village participates in the discussions. And there is more to come!
